In 2018, 5,357 votes were cast for Northwood Ward councillor, In 2022, that number fell to 4,677 votes — 680 fewer votes, a decline of 12.7%.
I think Northwood can do better in 2026.

The decisions made at City Hall affect our neighbourhood and our city every day including decisions on our roads and infrastructure, drainage, development, parks, traffic, public safety, taxes and how our tax dollars are spent. Who represents Northwood at that table matters.
But there's another reason this election is important. The councillor Northwood elects doesn't only vote on Northwood issues. That person becomes one vote at Thunder Bay City Council, helping make decisions that affect every neighbourhood and every taxpayer in the city. That means your vote in Northwood helps determine more than who speaks for our ward. It helps shape the decisions and direction of Thunder Bay for the next four years.
I'm running because Northwood has been part of my life for decades. I grew up here, went to school here, raised my family here and have spent more than a decade professionally following Thunder Bay City Council. I know our neighbourhood, I understand many of the issues we face, and I understand how decisions actually get made at City Hall.
I'm not going to promise that one councillor can fix everything. That's not how municipal government works. What I can promise is to do the research, listen to residents, bring Northwood's concerns to the council table and work with the rest of Council to make informed decisions for both Northwood and Thunder Bay.
To me, that's an important distinction. A Northwood councillor needs to be a strong advocate for the ward — but once sitting at the council table, also has a responsibility to consider what is best for the entire city. But first, Northwood and Thunder Bay needs to vote!
